Tudo muito bonito, mas nessas horas eu vejo como é fácil ser crítico... a desinformação do indivíduo ao falar do The Clash é espantosa.
Quem conhece o assunto vai ficar com raiva... ou rir, ao constatar algo que sempre falamos: quem "manda" na cultura desse país não entende nada do assunto.
Do pacote New Rock Colletion, com exceção da interessantíssima trilha sonora que Wang Chung criou para "To Live And Die in L.A.", novo filme de William Friedkin - e que já registramos há semanas passadas - apenas um ou outro destaque conhecido: "Cut The Crap" com o grupo Clash, que surgiu há três anos (três anos????? se a matéria é de 1986, ele está afirmando que o Clash começou em 1983, sendo que o correto seria 1976) e transformou-se numa banda de expressão no mundo punk com o lp "Combate Rock" (o Clash ganhou fama no mundo todo com o álbum "London Calling") e chegou também a fazer um álbum duplo de pretensões políticas ("Sandinista") ("Sandinista" foi o álbum triplo do Clash, o álbum duplo é o já citado "London Calling"). Este "Cut The Crap" foi o último lp do The Clash antes que seus integrantes se separassem (pouts... tudo errado, "Cut The Crap" é o primeiro da nova formação, o último da formação original foi o "Combat Rock") - do quinteto só ficaram Joe Strummer e Paul Simonon que buscam reformar o conjunto. O Clash pelo menos assume a barulheira (barulheira?????) que faz - o chamado dirty sound (de que lugar ele criou essa?????????): letras agressivas, muito ruído e uma pretensão de conteúdo político-social nos textos.
